About personal loans
A personal loan is the fastest way to fund a wedding, a medical bill, a home renovation or to consolidate expensive credit card debt, without pledging any asset. Because there is no collateral, the lender prices the loan almost entirely on you: your income, your employer or business stability, your existing EMIs and your credit history.
That is exactly where a partner earns their keep. The same applicant can be quoted 10.5% by one bank and 16% by another on the same day. We read your profile the way a credit manager does, shortlist the lenders whose policy fits it, and put your file in front of the right one first, so you get a decision quickly and a rate that reflects your actual risk, not a generic bracket.
We work with public sector banks, private banks and NBFCs across India. Salaried applicants with a strong employer and a clean bureau report get the sharpest pricing. Self-employed applicants and those with thinner credit files still have good options, and we will tell you honestly which ones.
Rate note: Top salaried profiles at leading banks start near 10.25% p.a.; NBFC pricing for thinner profiles runs higher.

FAQs
Personal Loan questions, answered
What CIBIL score do I need for a personal loan?
Most banks look for 700 or above. Scores between 650 and 699 can still get approved with select lenders, usually at a higher rate and a lower amount. Below 650, approval odds drop sharply and a secured option such as a gold loan or loan against property is usually cheaper.
How much personal loan can I get on my salary?
Lenders cap your total EMIs, including the new loan, at roughly 50% to 60% of your net monthly income. On a ₹60,000 salary with no other EMIs, that supports an EMI of about ₹30,000, which is roughly ₹12 to ₹13 lakh over five years at 12% p.a. Use our eligibility calculator for your numbers.
Does applying through LoansPartner affect my credit score?
We do a soft pre-screen that does not touch your bureau report. A hard enquiry happens only when you choose a lender and the formal application is submitted, which is one enquiry rather than the four or five people often rack up by applying everywhere.
Can I prepay or foreclose a personal loan?
Yes. Under RBI's directions on pre-payment charges, floating-rate loans to individual borrowers, and to micro and small enterprises within the prescribed limits, cannot carry foreclosure or pre-payment charges. Most personal loans are fixed-rate, where lenders may charge 2% to 5% of the outstanding amount after a lock-in of 6 to 12 months. We flag this in the lender comparison before you decide.
Is a personal loan better than a credit card EMI or a top-up on my home loan?
It depends on cost and speed. A home loan top-up at around 8% to 9% is far cheaper but takes longer and needs an existing home loan. A personal loan at 11% to 14% beats a credit card EMI at 15% to 24% and is quicker than a top-up. We compare all three when you have the option.
How long does disbursal take?
With complete documents, most banks sanction within 1 to 3 working days and disburse within a day of sanction. Pre-approved offers for existing bank customers can be same-day.
