Credit Report

The detailed record behind your credit score: every account, balance and payment.

What it means

A credit report lists all your loans and credit cards, their sanctioned amounts, outstanding balances, month-by-month payment status, days past due, and closed, settled or written-off accounts. It also records every hard enquiry made by lenders in the last few years.

Lenders read the report more carefully than the score. Two applicants with the same score can get different decisions if one has a recent settlement or a cluster of enquiries. Reviewing your report before applying and disputing errors with the bureau can materially improve outcomes.
