Glossary
Disbursal
What it means
Under RBI directions, loan funds must flow directly between the lender and the borrower's account or the payee named in the agreement, such as a builder or car dealer. No intermediary, agent or platform may hold or route the funds.
Disbursal marks the start of the loan; interest accrues from this date. For staged disbursals, each tranche has its own date.
